Posi Stiffness?

I just bought a donor car with a T/A '89 10-bolt Posi w/2.73's-- Everything seemed to match up when I tested it, and as I was really just buying the car for the Borg Warner 5 speed, I figgered the posi was just bonus and didn't really check it before handing over the benjamins. When I got it home and jacked up the rear to do the " spin one wheel forward, if other spins it's a posi" test, the passenger wheel turns with no effort, but the driver wheel takes some muscle. I haven't checked if the drum is binding up cause it's too damn cold, but is this something that could be damaged with the posi? is this differnece normal? the car drove the 3 hours home with no problems at all, and HAULED A$$ on the highway, but before I swap it all into my baby I want to make sure it's healthy... any suggestions?

Without taking the drum off there's no way to tell if this is something in the rear or the brakes. My guess is the brakes. I'd pull both drums and try to spin both axels and see how easily they spin, and go from there.
