You get what you pay for. If you're looking to get a tranny that'll handle big power and abuse at the track, you gotta lay down the bucks. If it is for street use and some strip with minimum abuse then go for it.

i will be putting it in a car w/ a 350 crossfire. i was also looking at the B&M trans (http://www.jegs.com/cgi-bin/ncommerc...08&prmenbr=361) and the TCI (http://www.jegs.com/cgi-bin/ncommerc...06&prmenbr=361).
how do those compare?

Out of all of those I would go with a TCI. TCI has a better reputation, relation and quality, over B&M. I would pass up on the summit and jegs home brands... it's a transmission and that makes me want some assemblance of name brand recognition, call me crazy.
TCI is a friendly company. I imagine they build a decent transmission for the price. Ask around.

Personally, I wouldn't go with a TCI tranny. They used to have good stuff, but now they are just run of the mill & are still in business because of their reputation from the past. You might check out this guy & here's a link to his site http://www.bowlertransmission.com/
He builds Quality stuff & stands behind his work.
Others on the board have went with Pro built Automatics & they seem to be pleased with their work.
