91 RS shift points?
Hey all, I have a 91 rs and i am kind of having trouble with the tranny. I just got it rebuilt a while back and they told me that it has the wrong TV cable. So we have had to compensate for the extra lenghth. Now i just need to know where it should be shifting at, (how many RPM's). This way i can just make the adjustment and be done with it. How many RPM's should it be shifting at during heavy trottle? I am trying to get it fixed that way i can go back to the track and maybe actually run some decent times. Thanks!

You "do not" use the TV cable to change WOT rpm shift settings. You set the TV cable to "max" TV. If the rpm's are wrong, you start with the governor to change WOT shift rpm's.

25THRSS my 92 rs shifts at about 4400 when left in od or d. I get much better times at the track shifting at 5,000 though

I don't have any times with my mods. When I ran last year at the track completely stock I was only able to get 2 runs in. The first run I let the tranny shift by itself at 4400 and was able to run a 16.8@79 mph. The next run I shifted at 5000 and ran a 16.3 @82 mph. Both runs had identical 60 foots also.
