hey everyone, my friend just got a th350 tranny installed in his 87 trans am. here is what we can not figure out...when he first starts the car it shifts into the second gear with out noticeing it shifting really. but if he get on it/or after driveing for a bit and all gets hot when the tranny shifts from 1 to 2 it jump into second (like a jurk) but its a very firm shift but just a bit to hard. all the other gears are fine though.
but like i said when u first start the car up and she is cool.cold.
it does not do it. so anyway what do u think about this issue is it a bad thing, what can be causeing it?? could it be a built in shift kit? or tranny had some work done to it? he got it used out of a car that was all built up for raceing.

does it only shift hard at higher rpms? does it have a stall converter? if it came from a performance car and dont slip im gonna guess i has a shift kit but could also have internal issued if it dont...
later, and good luck
