ok, starting about 3 days ago whenever i would start the car cold, let it warm up for a few mins, and then put it into reverse the engien would die. id start the car up again, and put it into reverse and it would be fine.

the otehr problem is when im driving between 40-70 and im in OD or D, and i go past 1/8 throttle, the car/tranny will want to shutter.. like its going in and out of neutral, then going back into drive. even if i go WOT, it will shutter, then around 70 it will stop and just go normally... any ideas on what this is?

forgot to mention: the whole drivetrain is 3 years old, but only has MAX 5000 miles on it. everything changed/serviced every 2 months regardless.

 

Might be a problem with the converter clutch locking when it shouldn't be like when it stalls going into reverse. My clutch will shudder sometimes when I'm going up hill under light throttle contions. It quits when I either let off enough to get it to lock up or I give it more throttle and cause it to stay unlocked. Just a thought. You could also have two problems not related. Have you checked you tranny mount to make sure it's not split in two?

i have been hearing the converter from others as well. so im thinkign its time for me to buy a new 1. YANK 3500 here i come. as far as the mount, yes, i did check that and its good still (poly)
