Question about using B.O.P. th350 on L98
I recently was doing work on a cousin's 83 Cutlass Supreme that had snapped the timing chain. we replaced it in hopes of maybe it hadn't wipe the valves but alas, it had. So, the motor was junk. We worked out a deal to where I woudl get the th350 transmission out of the car in exchange for the work and parts I had put into his car.
So, my main question is this; how do I bolt a BOP bolt pattern th350 to my 92 L98 block? I know TCI makes an adapter plate to go from chevy to BOP, but is it interchangeable to work in a BOP trans to Chevy block bolt pattern?
I am fairly sure this si the short tailshaft version, 6", so I will need either a spohn crossmember or one from an 82-83 camaro/bird, correct?
Are the spohn torque arms "remote" mount or will i need to use the B&M or Hurst kit with the Spohn torque arms (yes I will email him if I don't get the answer im looking for here, just figured I'd try here first since it's the weekend). I know on the LS1 cars the torque arms mount a few inches behind the tailshaft and does not mount to the transmission, this is what I'm looking for if possible.
It's a little late so I apologize if I've left anything out. If you need more details just ask. I apprecaite it.

a broke timing chain on a olds engine won't crash the valves into the pistons, that only happens with OHC engines. i'd guess you could flip the adapter over and it would work fine. there are several floor mount torque arms, steves included

but thank you for the other responses.
i guess i need to try and find a picture of the adapter and see eactly how it works, if i could just flip it over.

Either way you're still wrong.
Many OHV engines are interference motors. LS1s being one example I can think of, where PVC issues arise all the time with their use large cams like the LG G5X2 and others.

Here is one for a Dodge motor.
i don't honestly know where u got the idea that only OHC engines can bend valves. I'd expect a little more from a guy who moderates questions about engines.

Timing chain broke at 114,000 miles and bent valves - cost $1700. Recommendation, change it/have it changed at recommended intervals.
1987 Oldsmobile Delta 88 3.8l eng. code3 mileage: 78,000. Hi, my '87 Olds busted it's timing gear and thus bent a couple of valves.
Question: 1985 Dodge Ram D50 2.6l mileage: 144000. I think that my timing chain either jumped or slipped when I was driving and if that is what happened would that cause any damage to the valves, pistons or any other internal engine parts?
Answer: There is a good chance that the valves may be bent or damaged if the timing chain has jumped or slipped.

The way I understand it, the TCI plate works with either, so it should bolt right up, although I'm not 100% sure on that.
