What kind of $$ am i looking at for rear end rebuild
well pretty much as stated above i'm a 10 bolt with 3:73 Posi. It's leaking like a bucket with a hole in it. Over the past week it's leaked about a 12 inch puddle which is soaked into 4 newspapers. Lets just say i havn't driven it lately. And it sounds like metal on metal when i make left turns. What kind of money should i expect to chuck out for this project and is it all that hard to it yourself?

Wow - seeing as how you didn't identify the specific problem (i am assuming this rear is junk). I would buy a junkyard 10 bolt, and do the Daniel Burk "beef up" in the tech articles. Otherwise, a fully assembled ford 9" or moser 12 bolt is about 2,000 dollars

i'd take a look and see what your problem is, it may be minro, may need a new rear, but you'll never know without looking.
