Who builds the best 700-R4?

I'm going to need a transmission soon and I want to know who builds the best 700-R4. I want the shifts to be super hard and I still want it to shift on it's own in OD.

I love my pro built Street Strip 700-r4. Dana builds some mean transmission and he's recently upgraded his designs now they hold 625 hp they use to only hold 550 hp. My 550 hp version is suppose to shift fine down to 10 second 1/4 mile after that there are a few things that can be done for quicker shifts, but how many of use run faster than a 10.0 1/4? You might think about trying out the 9.5" ACT convertor also. They're pretty decent, I have a 2400 rpm lockup on my stock motor and I like it.

He using all new parts with racing clutches, trans go shift kit, and about everything else you can think of. You can even request some certain upgrades. I had my OD downshift blocked so I can go 100% throttle in OD without it downshifting out. Makes it awesome for passing on the interstate. Otherwize it still performs like an automatic upshifts fine on it's own and will downshift at the right speeds. My block only effects the downshift that is done at more than 70% or so throttle.

He also sets it up so it stays stock type feel at light throttle and increasing hardness as you give it more throttle on the shift points. I had a B&M shift kit in my OEM transmission it was ok but I got tired of it chirping the tires every single 1/2 shift and the whiplash effect even when cruisin slow. Not to mention it was a pain to drive in the rain since every 1 to 2nd shift would kick me sideways.

Probuilt is the best in my opion. I smoked a TCI and a B&M 700R4 before I found out about Pro Built. Bought the Pro Built tranny with the ACT converter and have not had another problem. Not only is his trannys hell for strong, but you will not find anyone that will give you the kind of customer service that Dana will. He spent alot of time on the phone with me making sure I was getting what I wanted. As long as Pro Built is in buisness I will never buy another automatic from anyone else.

Yep, exactly I called several times and his phone was busy so he told me to give my name and phone number and he called me back!! Other companies I've dealt with made me wait on the phone for 30 minutes and when I finally get a person it takes a whole minute to answer my question.

I have nothing but nice things to say about probuilt.

Stay away from bowtie overdrives, I know 2 people who have had problems with them.

One local dude has one from monster, and it runs good, but it's too late to tell yet, the blue bottle and et streets will test it soon.

true, but none of them are cheap. rossler is what's used in the lingenfelter rides, and has the numbers to back them. followed them since i found that out some time ago...
