So..a huge chunk of metal blows off my TH350.

Fond my leak..I have a huge crack running almost all the way around the tranny..starts at the front of the pan and goes almost to the other side of the pan. So i fired her up..brake torque it and clank..about a 1 foot chunk of metal. Ah well had a bad TQ and needed a complete rebuild..i don't think welding could have fixed the crack.

Hopefully I might be getting a tranny from a mid 80's trans-am. Anyone see a problem with this?

92 RS 350 carbed..with goodies.

i've saw that before when someone tried to engineer their own torque arm bracket and save 80 dollars on the b&m piece

My friend did the same thing to his TH350 down at Nationals last sesason. He had the hood up and just happened to see a crack where the bell housing bolts up and it went all the way over the case back down to the pan rail on the other side. Eerything still worked, but he did dail it 3 seconds slower and foot braked instead of leaving off his trnasbrake. Definately something I thought I'd never hear of again, but here's another cracked case-good job
