Torco Torque converters??
Has anyone used a Torco converter? They offer a 9.5inch Lockup built to order for the 700r4 for $350. Just wanted to know if it was too good to be true.

I'm running one in my race car. I only have about 80 1/8 mile passes on it , but I'm very happy with it. I'd buy another, and will at the end of the season. Have a 4300 and going to a 5000. Before ordering call them, what the conver will foot brake and transbrake is completely differant. My 4300 will only foot brake about 2800 or 2900 rpm, but flashes much higher. The car will also take off normal, I drive it right on the trailer with no problems.

Thanks for the info. Thats good news because I havnt found a price that cheap anywhere else. I just didnt want to end up with another sloppy converter like my B&M 2400. The way it drives on the street you would think it was a 5000. Lots of people say that the quality made to order 9.5inch like the TOrco are alot better about drivability. DID you drop 60foot times with the Torco?
Also how is that Stealthram? did you get the commander 950 ECM with that or just the intake setup. That is the next thing on my list of things to buy. I miss prom burning.
carbs are not for me. (17-20mpg vs. 7-12mpg)

cool, thanks for the info. Thats all good news. Good luck with the racecar. I hope its not 95* and 95%humidity in Springfield like it is here in ST. Louis. That makes tunning a car real tuff.
