SLP 700-R4 Converter wont work in non TPI?
Hey,
I am planning to do a 200C to 700-R4 in my 82 Z28 and was trying to find a decent converter thats not too expensive. I found this one from SLP, but SLP told me that the stock ECU in my 82 will not lock up this converter. I've read that the stock 82 ECU will lock up the stock converter on a 700-r4, so why would this converter be different? Can anyone offer any insight?
Thanks,

Anyone???
Or...could anyone recommend a decent lock-up converter for under $400?? I would rather not go with a B&M or TCI and this SLP converter was looking like a good alternative, but if its not going to work with my LG4 computer I'd like another good alternative.
Thanks in advance.

Thanks for the relpy...I think I'm going to get the converter and hope everything works right...if not, looks like I will be investing in a lockup switch.
