Transmission hangs in first for too long...
This is in regards to the '89 IROC in my signature (700-R4).
Whenever the car has been sitting overnight and I take off in the morning, the transmission won't shift out of first until like 3000 RPM when driving normally/conservatively. And that's with a 2.77 rear.
I know it might *seem* like a mal-adjusted TV cable, but it really only happens when the car is cold. In fact, it pretty-much only happens when I drive down my street the first in the morning--i.e. the first shift the transmission has to make. After that, it's fine.
This, in itself, doesn't really bother me. What I'm more concerned with is: does this indicate that the transmission might be going out?
Thanks
