get it out would be the logical thing to do. try welding a nut on it, if that doesn't work 90* drill, the threads are at the top of the bolt so it won't take much to get it out.

go to kragen or another parts store and get an easy out set, drill through the screw/bolt and use the easy out bit to back it out. Worked when i broke a fuel filter thread on my friend's carb.

You won't be able to reuse the carrier, but an easy way around this problem is to take a heavy duty cut off wheel to both sides of the crosspin right where the pin goes through. Once you cut through it it will drop out.

HOLD ON!!! There is a tool for this, I have one. Actually it is a kit, it comes with a very long flexible drill bit, a locating threaded insert to align the long drill bit, an easy out, and instructions. I have used it and it works great. I will check tomorrow at work who makes it and a art number for you.

When you don't need to use the carrier again, special tools or an exercise in zen patience aren't really needed. 5 minutes of cutting might actually even be a little more fun when it comes down to it. That's all i was saying.

I had problems with mine today when putting in the new locker. Rounded the head off then cut a slot for a screwdriver. Broke the screwdriver, started on it with a cold chisel to try and back it out, tried some vice grips a couple times. After an hour of pounding on it, my dad comes along and I tell him my troubles plus I had to go meet someone really quick. I take off and come back later, he got it out with a new pair of vice grips with no effort LOL After my hour of suffering, he does 10 seconds of work hehehe.
