7.5 and 7.625 interchange parts.
The first one(more expensive new style) is smoother when it locks and unlocks. The second one is the older style. I'm running the older style one(6+ years)--you would never know I had a locker until I turned really short in a parking lot, it makes a clicking sound.

Make sure spline# is correct.
I called Powertrax to 2x check.
The unit works great- I had my rear-end apart after putting on about 1000 miles and there was no visable wear. I like it alot.

Yes the no-slip lockers for the 26 spline are the same for 7.5 and 7.625.

INCORRECT!!! the parts are not interchangeble. the 7 5/8 is larger. the carrier is wider. the portion of the locker that slides onto the axles are much wider for the 7.625 then on the 7.5. i have both rearends and both lockers. the best way to find out what you have is to pull the cover and look on the ring gear. the measurements are right there. please be sure of your ring gear/carrier size before purchase!

i guess so, cause i know that when i look at the one for the 7.625, the outer two portions are much wider (by like an 1/8") than the one for the 7.5. i tried to put the 7.5 in my 7.625 carrier and it didn't even come close to lining up right. the center section may be the part that powertrax is talking about being interchangeble. the portion that the springs slide into and the center pin holds things tight, yeah that piece, they are interchangable, but the locker as a whole is not.
