700R4 at the dyno

When I dyno'd my car, the dyno operator disconnected the TV cable. I protested, but he assured me it would be OK. Nothing blew up, but wouldn't the disconnected TV cable lead to lower pressure and slipping clutches at WOT?

No.

It is standard procedure. It keeps the transmission from shifting out of the gear you want to measure it in.
