Wiring of torque converter lockup....

i have a few questions...

im converting my 82 T/A to a 700r4 from the TH350 i converted it too a few months back

my questions are...how good are 86 model year 700r's?? i cant recall which year got the upgraded clutch packs and servos.

and how do you wire up the torque convertor lockup switch?
i had an 88 700r4 in my old red 82 t/a and i never bothered to wire up the tq convertor lockup, but i want to in my black t/a.

so basically all i want is it switchable on and off with a toggle somewhere, how do i go about wiring it up like this?

any and all help is greatly apreciated...thanks.

Did you try looking in the Haynes or Chilton at the wiring diagram?
Should be pretty simple.

Is there a tan and black wire going into the tranny?
