which JTR conversion kit do i need?
there are two on this page:
https://web9.tdl.com/jags/T56_Order.html
the first says:
T56 tailhousing modification for driving a speedometer cable. Includes speedometer gears, sleeve, o-ring, and retainer.
the second says:
T56 tailhousing modification for driving a speedometer cable, plus modifications for relocating the VSS and machining reluctor ring.
which do i need for my car? it is an 89 IROC with a cable driven 145 mph speedo with a t56 from a 96 TA.
thanks in advance!

Check this page... http://www.jagsthatrun.com/Pages/Spe...eedometer.html
You'll find an external VSS driven by the speedo cable conversion. I'm looking at something similar, but my VSS is behind the speedometer. My motor donor was an '89 Camaro, and the VSS signal is the same.

Just give them a phone call. Tell them what you've got and what you're doing to it, and they should be able to tell you what you need. Plus, I'll be off the hook if I recommend the wrong parts.
PS... My T-56 conversion kit came today. Looks like everything I need, except for a machine shop willing to do the work. I called in the afternoon (west coast time) and spoke to the owner's brother. He seemed to know what was going on.
