3:73 or 4:10 GEARS
What should I go with 3:73 or 4:10 gears. What are the pros and cons of both. This is a street and strip car.

If your car is an autpmatic I would say go with the 3.73's. The 4.10's are a little bit too high especially if your going o nthe freeway.
If your car is a 5 speed then go with the 4.10's. BEcause you will be pulling about the same RPMS as an automatic in OD with 3.73's and a 5 speed car with 4.10's.

The 700R4 has a .70:1 overdrive gear ratio
T5's come with .79:1, .74:1, .73:1, or .69:1 overdrive ratios.
With common size tires, your engine rpm at 70 mph will be:
700R4 and 3.73's: 2377rpm
700R4 and 4.11's: 2619rpm
with a T5 5-speed, your rpm will likely be a little higher, depending on what overdrive ratio your tranny has.
If you've got TPI, 3.73 is about the max you want to look at. Unless you've modified your engine, TPI's just don't have a high enough rpm range to take advantage of gears that low.
I put 3.23's in where I used to have 2.73's. I almost went higher, but in the end I was glad I didn't.
