Bumpy ride

Look for a tire with a shifted belt. I had one a few weeks ago.
The car felt like someone was jerking the rearend to the side
when I was coming to a stop. Of course, the bad tire was on the rear.

worn springs? It could also be an unbalanced drive shaft. Where is it unstable? Front, or back, or both?

Look for any abnormality- like a bump or low spot. I had a nail in
my tire. Air probably leaked between the plies and made that
big bubble under the tread.
