3.73's vs. 4.10's
I'm getting ready to put in a new 95 T56 trans and wanna chuck my 2.73's for something that will make the 6 speed come to life a little. I did a few calculations for what I think would be shifting patterns under my "normal" driving conditions, shifting between 2650-2750.
When I ran the numbers, here is that I got for shifts.
3.73's
1-2 shift at 21mph,
2-3 at 32,
3-4 at 44,
4-5 at 56 and
5-6 at 75,
crusing at 80mph at 1922 rpms in 6th
4.10's
1-2 shift at 19mph,
2-3 at 29,
3-4 at 39,
4-5 at 51,
5-6 at 68
crusing at 80mph at 2113 rpms in 6th
4.56's
1-2 shift at 17.5mph,
2-3 at 26,
3-4 at 35,
4-5 at 46,
5-6 at 61
and crusing at 80mph at 2350 rpms in 6th
I through the 4.56's in there since I was already doing the calculations. And to add a little info. I love driving my car a lot and comfort really isn't my main concern cause I only put about 150 miles per week on it. So does anyone have and suggestions or comments about which gears I should maybe get?
