clutch for tremec? and suggestions other than CF-DF2?

Im putting a tremec in a 3rd gen..

Whats the difference in these two?

I run the part # DF161056 in my Z and have no complaints to date.When I looked into converting to a Tremec..Forte's said that I could run that clutch with the Tremec TKO.

The throwout bearing is different. F*rds use a different arrangement for that.

no it isnt, the throwout bearing is the same, because the input shaft on the tremec that you buy from fortes is not a ford input shaft, its a regular 26 spline 1-1/8 input shaft for a chevy.

I have the tko in my car.....people are under the assumption (because mike forte makes it look that way) that tremec makes the tranny that you get from him....the only thing that tremec makes in those trannies is the internals, and the design....alot of the parts on those trannies are machined for fortes and assembled by them. they install the input shafts, (the case may be slightly different as well).

however i have no problems with mine
