T-56 w/ a carb engine?
I have been thinking of swapping my700r4 for a 6-speed trans in my 1987 Z28, i have already swapped engines and made it carburated. Besides messing w/ the speedometer mess (mech. to electrical) and the other things to make this work, what wouldn't i have to do, considering it is not computer controlled anymore? Thanks.

What about the wiring that only lets you start the car when the clutch is pushed down?....did you hook that up?

Theres a switch mounted on the pedals that lets you start the car only if the clutch is depressed. I have seen two different types. One is a pull type switch, the other a push style. Either will work fine. I ran two wires to the switch from where the neutral safety switch used to be. The need to be hooked up to the two thickest wires. On my car, I think they were green and purple, other years have yellow and purple, or something similar. However, after I wired my car up like this, I heard that all cars had the connector already in the wiring harness for the clutch safety switch. I went to my car and looked up under the dash, and yeah, I found the connector. Pisses me off for doing things the hard way when I could have done things neater and easier. I had been under the impression that the harness was different for an auto and manual car, so I never bothered to look.
