Well that's good to hear but was there any difficulties or anything I should know before tackling this project?

The reason I'm asking is cause there seems to be an abundance of pre-89 setups and hardly anything after.

thanks

Just use the caliper mounting plates from a pre 89 10 bolt, shouldn't be a problem. Unless you have a 44 with the weird weeny yoke.

What would the yoke have to do with the brakes? In any case the Dana 44 uses all the same brake parts as the 10 bolt.

Hey, you know what? You are right! It has absolutely nothing to do with the brake setup. The hardest part of the swap for me was finding a bastard u-joint to fit the Inland alum. driveshaft (with its 1300 series u-joint) to the stock size yoke on the 44. If you have a stock driveshaft, it's probably not an issue. Sorry for the confusion.
As far as the brakes go, it was no problem.

Have you checked with SLP? I don't think they have any left. When I got mine over a year ago, they said it was one of the last ones they had. Anyway, good luck!

.....BACK FROM THE DEAD.....

I'm now the one wondering how this is done. What exactly is the difference in the pre and post 89 rear disc brakes and how do you go about adapting them? I can't find 89-92 rear disc brakes parts anywhere and I'm too poor to buy them new.

How do you figure? Aren't the brakes different on 9-bolts? I'm almost positive they are.
