Not a whole lot of differenc ebwtween 3 and 3½ quarts when you think about it...
It depends on what angle the car is sitting at, how empty you drained it, etc. And, with the way it's turned in these cars with the plugs raised up, the same trans that holds 2 quarts in a S-10 or a Mustang holds all that extra in one of these.
So, if it's up to the fill plug, you're good to go.

i just changed from atf to amsoil gear oil in my truck. i couldn't really get a full bottle in, had to put in 1/2 bottles and refill the bottle. i'd guess 2+ quarts. you only fill it till it runs out the side hole. i bet you filled your's thru te shifter right?

so you can fill our t5's through the shifter hole?
that makes life easier, too bad i already went and bought a little drill driven pump, and a hose, to fill it through the side, (it beats, shooting half a bottle at a time in there)
i guess, i can still use it for the rearend, anyone know how much its supposed to hold?
