Shift Technology Products shift kit???

My dad was in the tranny shop gettin his sable a new tranny(damn ford) and he asked about a shift kit for my car. They guy told him about this shift technology products shift kit for around 50$ canadian. He brought it home and I had never recognized the brand or make of it before. It says on the box its a 700-R4 shift correction package. eliminates problems such as: inadequate pressure rise, burned clutches and bands, soft or bump up shifts etc. I was just wandering if you guys had heard anything about this type of company and what you guys think. It came with about 10 different sized springs and some instructions.

Thanks

The kit you are referring to is from Superior, pass on it & get the Trans-Go Shift kit or the Performance Shift kit. The Trans-Go will do much more (correct/fix/eliminate inherent problems, etc.) than this kit.

Thread ressurection--Re: Shift Technology Products shift kit???

My 90 silverado 1500 was shifting fine until one day coming home from work it wouldn't shift gears unless you nailed it wide open and finally it would shift really hard into 2nd and the same to make it shift to 3rd and wouldn't go into OD at all.

I made it home and parked it for a couple of years because I had already bought another truck and started driving it.

My buddy told me to stomp on the gas petal about 10 times with the truck not running and that got it shifting again until today.

Now it's starting to downshift from 3rd to 2nd when I slow down to about 15mph and It's up-shifting late and hard again also but not as bad as the first time and it's slipping in OD also.

I tried the stomping method again but it didn't work this time.....any advice?

I wonder if the trans-go kit would solve my problem?
