Whats up w/ the sensors on my T-56?
Which one is the speedo? Is the solenoid on the shifter for the skip shift? How does that wire in?
Anyone got a pic?
Please someone help me. Thanks.

Yea it works fine, its just a mechanical gearbox, its not electrically controlled. The CAGS solenoid is disengauged without power, so it does not affect shifting. The reverse is always locked out without power, but you can still get it into reverse, it just takes a little muscle. Obviously I've got no reverse lights or speedo, but I'm going to hook those up eventually.

Transmission: 6-speed Manual
reverse lights: only sensor on passenger side
reverse lock-out - highest sensor on driver side, closest to shifter, attached to a solenoid.
VSS - small black connector on lower part of tailhousing on driver side.
All the connectors are different so if you have the pigtails you can't get them mixed up.

the cags is "Computer Aided Gear Selection" or something like that, it forces a 1-4 upshift at low throttle openings on 4th gens. Dont worry about it, it won't affect you at all.
