transmission horror story for 7004r

My 86 firebird's transmission went out and my ex-bf got a used for 250 out of another 86. We broke up no long after that. I kept the car and let him go. :P He wanted the car.
One day it would not go past 10mps with a lot of grinding. took it to mr. transmission on 4/18/01/. they rebuilt it for $1,195.85, but story doesn't end there.
Then I noticed it was making noise as it shift from 2nd to third. Took it back, they could not find anything. Took it back 3 times, finally they ended up replacing the valve body. it still did it so the last time I went they replace the transmission again.

(Had to correct my spelling and grammer. I wan't paying attention. I take shortcuts while typing. )

I dont know I wouldn't be to mad if my car couldn't go faster than 10 miles per second without making grinding noises.
