Is this the best cam for my set-up, please help!

Hello, I have an '88 vette l-98 in my '87 Iroc. The stroker kit I purchased includes a eagle cast crank(up to 500hp max)eagle rods, kieth black pistons(not forged).clevite rings, federal mogul bearings, fluid damper harmonic balancer, I will retain stock TPI set-up for now with the possibility of high flow runners, and port-polish heads etc.(see sig for mods)This is what comp-cam recomends for street/strip.Ivan, The cam I'm going to suggest to you will be part # 08-501-8. This cam will work without a chip and will enhance everyday drivibility and performance.
Thank you,
Dennis M.

I went with a 8-502-8 218/224 .496/.503 112 LSA and I could have went bigger. The idle is not lopey and i pull 16hg's of vac still. This cam went in a stock bottom end L98 TF heads and a highflow intake. With this cam I am still running the stock chip, But i need one burned . I'd go with this cam or even the next size up.

re

Mkos1980- That cam sounds similar to the LT4 hot cam. Its 218/228 with .490/.490 or .525/.525 with 112 LSA I believe. Were you running that in a 355 or 383? Thanks
