1987 TA GTA 5.7 low oil pressure
Last night while at a stop light, my oil pressure dropped to zero. When I got up to 55 mph it went up to 15-20 psi but no further. The dash is digital. Temperature stayed consistent to the driving speed it ran around 150-170 at highway speeds. Did get up to around 225-235 in stop and go traffic. Fans kicked on and went down to around 200-210. Checked the oil was at the correct level and was clean. Looked at bottom oil cap in valve cove nothing milky. I have read threads that point to the oil pressure sensor. If someone has insight or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Could be a bad guauge or sending unit. Get a mechanical gauge and check it. If you had no pressure, I'd expect it to be dead by now but my theory on that is non-consequential.

Was the engine 'noisy'? Any lifter clatter or lower end noise? Get a mechanical gauge & install it some where you can see it. If no on the noise and pressure gauge gauge is showing oil pressure your sender probably went bad. As old as these cars are that would not be unrealistic. A mechanical gauge is probably less money than the digital sender unit. And more reliable.

As others have said, could be a bad sending unit.
oil leak could be from sending unit, valve covers, lower intake, rear main, front seal, oil pan, oil cooler area, ect.
just have to get some eyes on it
