Lucas was/is a british company that deals with ingition/fuel injection for the european car makers. (jaguar being right there at the top of the list). They have an absolutely lousy reputation. Their systems are amazingly unreliable, and have been since the old Triumph motorcycle days. Don't recognize that name?? That's because the Lucas ignition systems on them were so bad, that they could not sell them, and the company folded up and blew away.

Also, if you ask any Jag owner what they think of the reliability of their car, be prepared for a tirade.

I will admit, that they have done some things right, but, they are few and far between.

Bottom line..... Stay away from them.

Interesting response

What would you value a set of 30lb/hr Lucas with 1,000 miles on them at?

My options are either those or some ford SVO's as far as budget goes.

I would not get the lucas injectors if the paid me to take them. You will just end up replacing them again. I don't know about you, but I just don't enjoy doing the same job twice. Go for the SVO injectors. A fair number of folks on here use them to good effect, and so far, I have seen nothing bad about them.

Have fun now.

Well, I disagree with everyone here. I just got my injectors back from Cruzin Performance a couple weeks ago and found out that I have Lucas injectors. After being in my car for three years, they still flowed at 2% without being cleaned and they were pressure tested up to 70PSI without leaking.

I saw a bumper sticker once that said,

"Do you know why the British drink warm beer? Because they have Lucas refrigerators."

I didn't understand why until I asked my 53 year old father who is an electrical engineer and he explained that they have a HORSEXXXX reputation on reliability.

My guess is that their injectors are relabeled Bosch
