TPI Voltage Swing???
Hello Friends! I got a 92 TPI 305 & a EBL_P4 ECM. While playing around I noticed my TPS was only going to 80% or about 4.3v. seems as though there is little to no room in the bolt holes for adjustment. I bought a new sensor and it was a little better, I was getting 92% - 4.5v. I was hoping if I oblonged the bolt hole a smidge I could cover the difference. With the idler screw backed all the way out and throttle plate fully closed & sensor set to .54v, I open the throttle till it hits the stop and the throttle plate opens to a full 90° I'm only hitting 99% - 4.6v? Anyone run into this or have any suggestions on what I might be missing / under thinking? Thoughts would be much appreciated.
Thanks Guys.

Re: TPI Voltage Swing???
Since the Sensor is a simple potentiometer : Blk = sensor ground grey = 5v Reference dkBlue = TPS signal
TPS signal can max reaching "near" 5V considering Voltage drop on wires an connectors
Check your Reference voltage via Multimeter blk wire to grey
if you see here only 4.6v you max tps signal will be 4.6 v ---->sensor good ---> something wrong with wires, connector or ECM
if 5 volt is present could be bad connection from connector or your sensor is slightly off
Check TPS sensor (off car and unpluged)
Multimeter to Resistor Mode (Ohms) check pin A to C should give you a Number like "10kohm or 1 kOhm"
now check from pin A to B or B to C and turn the "leaver" back and forth like the throttle would do
you should now getting a reading from almost zero up to that number from the A to C measuring
but i dont think that number does affect the "WOT" Performance in any Way .0.4volt is almost nothing
and what i read is everything above 4volt is seen as good and simply a " tolerance plus"

Re: TPI Voltage Swing???
On the accelerator enrichments, the largest TPS% it needs is 50%.
So if you're getting into the 95-99% range on your TPS, you're good. If the throttle blades aren't 100% perfectly horizontal, you're not going to really notice the difference.

Re: TPI Voltage Swing???
Thanks Fellas. I guess I was just expecting my ECM to read 100%. Manually the throttle is opening 100% but there is still room for travle on my TPS. When I use a screwdriver to use the rest of the travel voltage goes to 4.85v and ECM reads 100%. Probably not effecting anything other than my brain by not reading 100%. I'll have to post in the Tuning section, probably can adjust the TPS Delta or some other setting in the EBL_P4 to make it read 100 @ 4.6v. I'm still new and learning about self tuning. Thanks for the help.
