I've got a good mechanic and $2000 burning a hole in my pocket. What bolt-on parts can I add to my 5.0 LB9 to add some decent horsepower? I'd like specifics, manufacturer and part number if you've got it. Thanks in advance!

Why not a mild 350 instead of putting money into a 305 ?

$2K---with someone else doing the work---isn't going to make any real improvement to a 305. If you aren't concerned with originality, save up your $$$ to swap-in a built 383.

Other than that, the best advice I can offer is to have him put a cat-back exhaust on the car to make it sound better and call it a day.

Plenty of old posts here discussing hopped up 305 trouble is your stated budget isn't going to get you very far at all.
