Engine: both cars are 350 tpi injected
Transmission: 700r4/2004r
Axle/Gears: iroc 3:70 borg warner/ monte 3:73
1989 350 tpi stalls after driving for over an hour
Hey I am going to see what the senior tpi guys think I have a 1989 iroc camaro now understand its a weekend driver it runs awesome but I have had an issue happen twice now I built the motor have changed everything in the fuel management and spark delivery i have always loved my tpi camaro but want opinions I have read all these threads but doesn't cover my issue I was driving a year ago and got to stop light and car stalled out it started but stalled I floored it and it made it to a parking lot thought another ign module got another and nothing changed got it started and drove it home holing throttle to the floor and blowing red lights and stop signs I replaced all engine and fuel components and car kicked my *** for over a month I checked fuel pressure it was 50 new pump regulator and injectors new bosch mass airflow I swapped ecu with my other iroc including prom same thing changed air temp and coolant temp same thing new tps iac delco parts I ended up changing mass airflow burnout and power relays still wouldn't idle then installed new harness for fuel pump fuse looked heated same problem and then changed fuel pump relay then car wow runs I have been driving for almost a year and ran great until driving it over an hour and a week ago picked a friend up and car felt like running lean and stalled out it would start and stall I made it home stalling multiple times I had to keep it floored to keep momentum it finally set a lean code when getting it home but it doesn't lead me to o2 sensor problem I'm running a 3 wire heated sensor and changed it last time car wouldn't run so yes its lean but I have good fuel pressure I went out the next day car started and ran perfectly my problem is im afraid to take a long trip not knowing if gremlin could return I am a mechanic of almost 40 years and I am looking for that guy that had a issue like mine I went all over the grounds all cleaned and solid thanks for any ideas and thanks for taking the time to read this but if I can't resolve this I might have to let her go I have had 12 tpi cars and never had an issue like this I know being obd no diagnosic like obd 2 I even bought the cable for obd interface but no bad results found thanks to all the tpi camaro enthusiasts

Here's what GM has to say about it:
Is it making steady fuel pressure above 43.5psi today? It's possible one or more of the components you replaced have gone bad again. O2 sensors can be notorious for that. What happens when you disconnect the MAF?

The built engine raises questions was it tuned.
