whining fuel pump

Car: '02 Rodeo
Engine: 3.2 V6 DOHC
Transmission: 5spd
Axle/Gears: 4.30 Dana 44 Rear 10 bolt front
whining fuel pump
since i finally got the z back from the shop, i noticed that the fuel pump has a whining noise. if you listen to the c/k trucks, or astro and fullsize vans, they have the same noise b/c of the high pressure pump.
does anyone else's pump do that?
also what is the correct pressure it should be?

My new one does the same thing because they didnt reuse the pulsator thingy. Mine seems to vary though. Sometimes a quite whine sometimes a loud whine. I dont know if the varying loudness is normal or not.

Car: '86 IROC, black and sharp
Engine: 305 tpi, bone stock

Axle/Gears: 3.42 pos w/rear db
Hey, if it works, don't worry about it. My black 86 IROC buzzes so lound you can hear it over the radio (till I start the engine). My red 86 IROC is so quiet I thought it was broke till the engine started and ran.
