Not thirdgen but it is F-body
A friend of mine has a 94 Camaro Z-28 with the auto and 83000 miles on it. Everytime he mashes the gas it stumbles spits and sputters. But when above 2000 rpms it runs great. I got a hold of it and noticed when you mash the gas the timing advance goes down to 1 degree of advance. Now I THINK that there is something wrong with that. Also it is retarding it 9 degrees fo knock. I checked it out with Auto X-Ray. I know that there is a simliar post on this board but I think there is a different problem since you cant adjust the timing on the LT1. I also checked the TPS, he has replaced the cap and rotor, plugs and wires are all from GM. I also checked the fuel injectors via ohm reading and all 8 of them are between 12.1 to 12.8 ohms. Also the fuel pressure checks out ok at 44 PSI. Any ideas??

I did notice the knock count was 127 at 550 seconds of run time by revving it up and driving arount the block. Did not try to unplug the maf. I will try that when I see him tomarrow.
