L98-700R4 Shift Points???

I'm just curious at what RPM, other L98-700R4 combos shift under WOT. Mine shifts at 5100 and I'm thinking it's a little high for a pretty much stock TPI. Thanks

Funny, I thought that was a little low for the first gear shift. When my car was stock, I got the best times by shifting manually at 5500 first gear, and around 5200 for the 2/3 shift.

Sparks a flyin'

mine shifts at about 5 000 rpm first shift... not sure second I think around the same... give or take 200rpm.

I think 5000 is a tad high... anything over 4 500 i can start to feel that it's making NO power... I think if I port the intake and make a CAI it will help out a little though.

My 91 GTA usually shifts around 4500 to 4700.

Check the sig. That time was run in very cold weather, but I let the car do all the work.

My original 700R4 shifted at 5,500 RPM, which was about an hour after the motor fell flat on its face. I swapped in another 700R4 and it did the same thing

Now I have a T5
