Ignition problems!!! Please help!

I have come across a problem that I can't figure out. I have a 87 Camaro 5.0 305 tpi and about 2weeks ago it started to run funny. While driving home my rpms dropped down to 0 and then shot back up and then died. I started it up again and drove it home. The next day I was going to work my car wouldn't start. I read on this site that it might be the ignition module so I changed it. Bought a valucraft part and it ran fine for a week and started the same problem again. Took that one back and got a duralast one and it work for a day and now it's back to the same spot. Since then I have changed the ignition coil, ignition module, distributor cap and rotor, spark plug wires, pickup coil and still doesn't want to start. Has anyone had this problem? I have fuel pressure and spark so I have no idea what's causing this. Please help

Re: Ignition problems!!! Please help!

Had similar symptoms just before I had to replace ECM.

Get a noid light and verify the injectors are getting pulse width command from ECM.

Also make sure your VATS isn't acting up as well.

Not sure what parts stores are nearby, but in my own experience it could be the auto zone parts. Got a starter solenoid from them, burned up after a week, until then it was hit or miss if it ever worked.

Not sure if it could be the distributor itself too. If you have access to a scanner it may show what is going on too.

I don't think it's my ecm because I just changed it when I got the car in 2013 but I actually don't have a VATS in my car I don't think my year came with it

Just have to ask...you did put the dielectric grease between the module and the distributor base?

Yea I did every time I changed the module. I'm just lost on this problem I was reading on another thread it could be a faulty connection from the ignition switch to the coil but I had driven the car the day before.
