pro comp heads
Question
are there any 3rd gen owners that own a set of pro comp aluminum perfomance heads .If so what type of power are they helping create on the 350s or 383s.I plan on converting my l98 350 into a 383 efi sbc.I have been looking at the pro comp heads.the 210cc in particular but i want to know in general are the guys that are using the comp pro heads are you guy having great success with them before i buy them, also
how is the casting quality have they improve since the first time they came out.
are any of them efficent enough to support 500hp on a single plane efi 383 without needing to get them port and polished.
any feed back would be greatly appreciated

Re: pro comp heads
I've done some research and think the Procomp aluminium heads would work well on my L98 350 when I rebuild it.
From what I've read, the Pro Comp castings are good, but the valve gear is pretty cheap.
I was thinking of buying a pair of Pro Comp heads from Skip White, who buys the bare heads and adds better valve gear.
Seems like the Pro Comp heads are a Chinese copy of the Edelbrock heads.
