I am trying to replace my head gaskets, I got the torx screws off the pelems(spelling) on the bottom of them but the whole intake wont budge. Am I missing anything and any tips on getting to the head gaskets?
Its a '91 305 TPI from a firebird trans am

Have to undo all the bolts holding the runners to the base and to the plenum including the two HIDDEN ones that go into the runners from the opposite side under the plenum
Once you have ALL the bolts out ( count them ) usually the plenum requires a smack with a soft hammer to break the gaskets loose
Red shows location of hidden bolts.

Re: TPI Removal
Did you already drain your coolant ? If not your might want to pull your knock sensor on the bottom of the block to drain your block and drain your radiator before you pull the heads so you don't get alot of antifreeze on the pistons.
Factory RTV is usually used on the front and rear of the block to seal the Manifold Base to the Block.. Once you get the distrib out, the manifold, and both runners off you can see all the remaining bolts to include the hidden bolts. And yes, a dead blow hammer will usually be enough to shock the intake and loosen it up.
