New Prob Guys HELP!!!! lol

k guys i have a 87 GTA which came with a 350 i recentley put a 305 TPI back in its place after modifying all the brackets because the 88-89 tpi motor is opposite mounting as the 87 we got it running i went to take it out for Ablast last night ran a little rough but not bad then all of a sudden it ran like a bad of Sh&t and shut down and that point Smoke started rolling out from the hood we quickly ran and got water but while looking to see where the fire was the catalytic convertor was CHERRY RED we pushed the car home let it cool down tried to start it and NAda doesnt even want to try and fire up. i also didnt hear the fuel pump so.... i took the main hose off the pumo to see if indeed it was pumping fuel this morning and it was but no hint of firing My question here guys is What do you think it might be AND is the 350 ECU the same as the 305 because i did not change that once motor was swapped also was the timing off to cause this ? any help would be greatly appreciated

There is a sticky on this forum about swapping a 305 to a 350, you would need to do everything to swap a 350 back to 305. you need a new PROM, knock sensor, injectors, electronic spark module and a few other things, I will link you the sticky in a minute
