TPI 383/Carcraft

Well, I havent started many threads so even though I've been onsite for awhile. Please show some patience with me.

My car is a 1986 camaro, with a 350 from somthin and a transmission from somthin else and all i know is that the TPI 350 in it now was not installed correctly and im looking to move on. That is where the 383 comes into play.
I have read the "quest for a better flowing TPI" and im still left with many questions unanswered so im looking to draw from the aquried knowledge of the wonderful TGO.
its either make the TPI work or i may have to go to carbureted, and that is somthin i would rather not do.
So to get to the point:
1.how hard is it to move from the MAF system i have now to Map? (assuming it would be easier than tuning a 383 MAF car)
2. Is it worth sticking with the TPI?
3. What fuel pump should I go with?
4. Is there anyway i can make it appear stock (I would totally love a car that just looked like regular TPI car until i turned the key)
5. I want this motor to make enough power to push the car (3440lbs as per a grain scale by my house) into the mid to low 12's
6. Does anyone make a good nitrous kit specific to the TPI intake, i saw a NOS brand one on ebay months ago and it was a TPI specific kit and i regret not getting it
7. This is a write up i found on Carcraft and the medium motor is dang near exactly what i want. http://www.carcraft.com/techarticles...y/viewall.html

Thank you all for your time, drive safe.

easy enough but tuning MAP is harder than tuning MAF

NOS.
run any kit you like ; just need the NOS plate to suit the TPI TB

Which probably means running a different intake ( still using your wiring and computer ) to make that sort of power

compare what a intake change can do on a 383

Re: TPI 383/Carcraft

so witht the nitrous, most guys pull the timing a few degrees to prevent detonation, is there a way i could do that without having to change proms everytime i wanna use the spray?

for the intake, ive read that article and a few others and i was thinking that i would run a edelbrock lower manifold, as&m SS runners and the stock plenum on top. and port them out as much as possible. so could i have all of those parts extrude honed? or would that be worthless?
