lb9 choppy idle black plug cylinder 7 ideas
OK so in my other thread had a code 36. That seems to have fixed itself. No codes now idle fine.
In gear idles like one cylinder is dead.lights flicker in gear and u can feel it.sounds like it has a can but its stock so no.
I changed the plugs today all light brown except one was white(cylinder 4 or 6 I think) and rear driver side one was black and smelled like gas.
Any ideas egr ,injector,firing order....
It seems to run exactly the same as before.I definetly smell gas out the exhaust a little but I have no cat and a loud *** Autozone thrush Turbo muffler

Yeah you have a misfire on cylinder 7.
Switch another plug wire with #7 wire and see if the misfire moves.
That will tell you if you have a bad wire.
If it doesn't move, then do a compression and leak-down test on #7.
If ok, then check #7 fuel injector.
If ok, then check for an intake manifold leak on the #7 port.

I think I found what it is
1st put one of the old plugs on manifold and hooked it to plug wire 7
No spark
2nd tried new Bosch platinum for camry no spark
3rd hooked up Toyota wire to new plug have spark
4th hooked Toyota wire(tube type) to cylinder 7 ran very smooth then I unplugged #7 injector and it ran like before. So in conclusion wire must be bad. Ill grab one tomorrow
Oh I did math if engine has 190hp and I took off cat and air pump should be a little over 200 that means this plug wire was costing me 25hp
