What should my fuel injectors be at
have a 88 gta 305, when i do a ohms test on the fuel injectors/warm then all read 17.3, is this to high or normal,
if anyone knows the specs for the 305 fuel injectors that would be great. Not to sure if there stock or have been replaced, car has 121,000 miles
i also have a 92 v6 and the ohms on that read 12.2 cold, assuming thats good

IIRC 15 to 18Ω is normal. Below 12Ω is garbage.
I know the V6 injectors are different, don't know what their acceptable range is.

Re: What should my fuel injectors be at
The coil inside electronic fuel injectors rarely goes bad. Even when the injector "goes bad", rarely is it because of the coil. Most injector related problems are a result of pluggage/fuel-related problems.
Also, something to consider - if ALL your injectors are reading nearly the same that should tell you that they're all good. The odds of all of them having a coil fault and reading the same resistance wouldn't even be plausible. Typically when an injector does have a coil fault, it either shorts directly to ground or the circuit will be open. Resistance values will vary with temp because it changes the properties of the metal.

17 ohms is fine. However, thirdgen tpi's are very well know for having failing injector coils. Especially, the cars that came with MULTEC injectors. The Multec Injectors are very common on 89 to 94 GM products and the first thing to go on them is the coils. I have changed countless multec injectors on tpi cars for bad coils.
The early Bosch injectors are more likely fail due to leaking nozzles but I have seen a fair share of those with bad coils also. If your car is an 88 it should have Bosch injectors and ohm between 16 ohm to 18 ohms. A good coil in a Multec injector will typically ohm between 12 to 14. Below 12 ohms on a Multec and you should change it out.

Re: What should my fuel injectors be at
I'm sorry , but YOU are the one that is clearly wrong, just how would you explain how the OP has 8 injectors that are bad at the SAME time all with the same values? How about you STFU and learn to read and interpret the DETAIL of **** you read.

Re: What should my fuel injectors be at
What's funny is you do not even understand the question or the answer. Currently, the OP has no failing injectors due to coils. Everything is else general information. What he was asking for.
