I've been working on my tune since installing Ram Air and building a high flow airlid this winter. Using the LC-1 wideband O2 from Innovative and AFR gauge has helped me dial in my fuel map like never before. Made a few tweeks after my last drive a few days ago and today I was very impressed.
My combination has been very strong from 4K to 6K from the time I built it 12 years ago and continues to pull quite well to its 6,900 rev limit and shift point. I have been fine tuning in the area between 5 and 7K to find what power I could. The results have been quite impressive. At this point, I'm running 42 degrees from 5,000 up. I may even try adding another 1 or 2 degrees. I have got my full throttle AFR to stay close to 12.5:1 from off idle to redline. Still could use a little fine tuning though as it drops below 12 in a few spots.
Today was the fastest I have ever gone from 50 to 100. Somewhere in my tune I have picked up some real torque in the 4,500 to 6,000 rpm range. I think the motor likes that added timing lead. I've never had a car pull so hard from 80mph and on today's run there was no significant drop in acceleration from 6k to 6,900. I'm getting close. About ready for the track and some time slips. I am really loving this car and my extreme long runner TPI. Every little bit of work brings it closer to perfect.
