Stumbles and Hesitates After Pulling the Plug
Hey guys, quick question.
Since the day I first bought my Camaro, if you remove power to the ECM, that first start after restoring power until it relearns the fuel curve and timing tables; engine idles fine but will stumble and hesitate pretty bad with a light tap of the throttle. Steadily increasing the throttle seems to rev the motor fine, but if you do quick small revs it misfires. It does it really bad if it is off a cold start. Once the ECM "learns" everything over again, all systems are go. Is this normal?

You know I have the same question too. I recently purchased an 86 IROC with 14700 original miles and did a quick tune up with... plugs, wires, cap, router, O2, knock sensor, check timing, etc.. Now I have the same issue as you described. She drive great, but sitting while in park and giving the throttle a quick snap, she hesitates and seems like she wants to die, but then will picks up and revs just normal. My 88 GTA responds like a beast, instant response. I haven't had a whole lot of time to research and troubleshot this. But some input would be helpful, and save me / us some time.
