He spend zillions of hours trying to find the issue. Together we spent quite a bit of time datalogging the car. Once it was warm you could make it act up almost whenever you wanted. When the engine would start breaking up you could see it in the wideband, but we could never figure out if it was dropping ignition or fuel or both. The wideband would jump lean but unburned fuel will show lean as well since the wideband only measures oxygen content. Every component in the ignition system including the ECM was replaced more than once. At this point we think there is something in the wire harness messed up that we simply can't find unless we pull the whole harness and inspect each wire. He was planning an LS swap in the future anyway so with all this trouble he just decided to jump on it now.
