Hi guys
I am new to the list . This is my first TPI. I removed it last week from a 1987 firebird 305 and I am installing it on a 1977 chevy p/u 4x4.with a 305 reman. i just got the intake on today and half dressed the wiring harness.
My question i have right now is I want to run a turbo 350 trans. I have two wires going to the tranny one i think is for speedo and one is for the tc lock up.do i have to use them I wont have a lock up I was thinking i might need a electronic speedo converter for the computer. I do have some electric questions I hope some will chime in .you guys have a great forum here.

The wires have nothing to do with the speedo, they are for the lockup tcc. The speedo is cable controlled from the rear on the tail shaft. Since I believe the truck is also cable controlled you would need a speedo buffer from a camaro as they are cable driven also, although it would take some fab work to get it to work. You also might look at Dakota digital for a converter box. Since this is not thirdgen camaro/firebird vehicle I have to lock this.
