tpi needing aftermarket chip

Hi people I'm new to posting so I hope I get it right I have 91 camaro 5.7 and I installed a cam (lun60122) to be exact, installed the recomended springs as well and an afpr, the car starts right up but its rich with some white smoke, now I've heard that summit has some good chips from motorvation that can be programmed for my setting. Does anyone have some experience with a cam this big and using an after market chip. I just wanna make sure the car will run well like its supposed to if not why waste 400.
