VATS
I have an 89 IROC and the VATS keeps engaging. I tried bypassing the VATS by wiring the VATS power cable (purple) into the yellow ignition wire in the steering column. This allowed the motor to turn over but not start, because the VATS still engaged not allowing the injection system to fire so I had spark but no fuel. Then I put the wires back into the original position and now the VATS will not disengage, if anyone can help that would be great, or if you could give me some tips to disengage the VATS I would appreciate it.

Re: VATS
You need a resistor on the wires under steering column to bypass VATS
