Too much fuel pressure?
Will too much fuel pressure keep my 5.7 TPI from starting? I decided to put in a new fuel pump as the old one was only holding 35-37lbs of pressure and it was hard to start. I just put the tank back up and now she holds 60 at the schrader and she will not start. I'm using 24lb. Accell injectors. I have a remote fuel pressure gauge that hooks up where the pressure regulator is. Any thoughts? Thanks.

Re: Too much fuel pressure?
Mine reads 60psi when the fuel pump primes and then drops after it starts, so that should be ok. I would spray starting fluid while cranking. If it starts, then it's not getting fuel and if it doesn't then most likely spark/timing related.

Re: Too much fuel pressure?
I got her started today, My neighbor who is a retired mechanic said it was vapor locked. Thanks for the reply. I have an AFPR on it I will back her down to 47 lbs or so.
